Baseball Player/Pitcher of the Week for May 1-7, 2006:
Player: Ed Warren; Dickinson State; Junior; Outfielder; Fairfield, CA
Warren batted .600 with a 1.150 slugging percentage in helping lead the Blue Hawks to the DAC Tournament championship.  In five games at the tourney, he had twelve hits, including two doubles and three home runs, with eight runs scored, nine RBI and four base-on-balls.  Warren's week was highlighted by a two homer game in a come-from-behind win over Dakota State in the tournament championship game, including the game-winning two-run shot in the bottom of the eighth inning.
Pitcher: Dustin Ottens; Dakota State; Junior; Maple Ridge, BC
Ottens pitched a complete game, his eighth of the season, in picking up a 3-1 win over Dickinson State in the DAC Tournament, a loser-out contest for the Trojans.  In his lone performance of the week, Ottens allowed one unearned run in nine innings while striking out seven and walking four to improve his season record to 9-1 and his ERA to 1.05.
 
Baseball Player/Pitcher of the Week for April 24-30, 2006:
Player: Rafael Mendoza; Dickinson State; Junior; Outfielder; Oakland, CA
Mendoza batted .579 with a 1.053 slugging percentage in helping the Blue Hawks to a 5-1 record for the week and their first ever regular season DAC title.   For the week, he was 11 of 19 with three doubles, two home runs, eight runs scored, five RBI and a base-on-balls.  Mendoza was also named Region III Player of the Week.
Pitcher: Justin Funk; Dickinson State; Senior; Swift Current, SK, Canada
Funk picked up a pair of wins as the Blue Hawks clinched their first ever DAC regular season championship.  In the two contests, he gave up two earned runs on nine hits while striking out 12 and walking six in improving his season record to 5-2, including 3-0 in conference action.  Funk was also named Region III Pitcher of the Week.
 
Baseball Player/Pitcher of the Week for April 17-23, 2006:
Player: Sid Sandstrom; Jamestown College; Senior; Outfielder; Elma, WA
Sandstrom hit .600 with a 1.000 slugging percentage in helping the Jimmies to a 5-1 mark for the week.  In the six games, he was 9 of 15 with two home runs, eight RBI, six runs scored with five walks and a stolen base.
Pitcher: Graham Campbell; Jamestown College; Sophomore; Victoria, BC, Canada
Campbell picked up a pair of wins while giving up just five runs, two earned, on eleven hits in 15.2 innings with nine stikeouts and no walks.  His week was highlighted by a nine-inning complete game shutout victory in a 7-0 win over Dickinson State. Campbell was also named Region III Pitcher of the Week.
 
Baseball Player/Pitcher of the Week for April 10-16, 2006:
Player: Andre Traha; Dakota State; Sophomore; Outfielder; Rancho Cordova, CA
Traha went 9-16 in five games for the Trojans.  For the week, he hit .563 with a 938 slugging percentage.  Traha had two home runs with three runs scored and eight RBI in leading Dakota State to three wins in five games.
Pitcher: Nate Remer; Dakota State; Junior; Finley, WA
Remer pitched 13 innings allowing five runs, four of them earned, on ten hits with 14 strike outs and four base-on-balls. At Mayville State, Remer pitched a complete game with his season high 11 strikeouts for the game, allowed three earned runs on seven hits. For the week, he was 1-0 with a win against DAC foe Mayville State and a no decision versus the University of Sioux Falls.  Remer was also named Region III Pitcher of the Week.
 
Baseball Player/Pitcher of the Week for April 3-9, 2006:
Player: Mickey Berry; Mayville State; Junior; Outfielder; Mayville, ND
Berry hit a blistering .591 in leading the Comets to a perfect 8-0 week.  In seven games played, he was 13 of 22 with four doubles, three home runs, 11 RBI, ten runs scored, three walks and a perfect five-for-five in stolen base attempts.  
Pitcher: Greg Oravetz; Mayville State; Senior; Dublin, CA
Oravetz went 1-0 with a no-decision for the week.  In the two outings, he pitched 19 innings, allowing four runs, one earned on eight hits with eight strikeouts and two base-on-balls.  In his lone win of the week, a 3-2 victory over Jamestown College, he took a no-hitter into the ninth inning before settling for a complete game one-hitter.  Oravetz was also name NAIA Region III Pitcher of the Week.
 
Baseball Player/Pitcher of the Week for March 27-April 2, 2006:
Player: Reid Arnold; Valley City State; Sophomore; 1st Baseman; Fargo, ND
Arnold was 11 of 19 for a .579 average as the Vikings went 3-2 for the week.  For the week, he had two doubles, one hume run, three runs scored, six RBI, three base-on-balls and one stolen base.
Pitcher: Dan Morari; Dickinson State; Freshman; Saskatoon, SK
Morari went 2-0 for the week as the Blue Hawks picked up four wins in six games for the week.  In his two victories, Morari pitched 12.1 innings, gave up just two runs, one earned run on 11 hits with 13 strikeouts and four walks.  Morari was also named the NAIA Region III Pitcher of the Week.  
 
Baseball Player/Pitcher of the Week for March 20-26, 2006:
Player: Terry McGowan; Dakota State; Senior; 1st Baseman; Hemet West Valley, CA
McGowan went 6 for 8 with three runs, three RBI and two steals in two attempts in a Trojans sweep of Mount Marty, SD.  Among his six hits in the doubleheader, McGowan hit his first home run of the season and added his fifth double of the year. McGowan was also named NAIA Region III Player of the Week.
Pitcher: Dustin Ottens; Dakota State; Junior; Maple Ridge, BC
Ottens picked improved his overall season record to 5-0 in an 11-1 five inning victory over Mount Marty, SD.  In his lone performance for the week, he gave up one earned run on four hits in five innings, struck out six and walked one.
