For the Week of February 15-21, 2004:

Women: Stacie Vedvei; South Dakota Tech; 5-10; Junior; Center; Lake Preston, SD

Vedvei had 46 points, 14 rebounds, one assist, three blocks and seven steals in leading the Lady Hardrockers to a pair of conference victories.  In an 80-79 win over Minot State, she had 25 points, four rebounds, an assist, two blocked shots and two steals and followed up with a 21 point, ten rebound one blocked shot and five steal performance in an 84-76 win over fourteenth ranked Dickinson State.  In the two contests, Vedvei was 18 of 37 from the field and 10 of 15 from the free throw line.

 

For the Week of February 8-14, 2004:

Women: Andrea Ronderos; University of Mary; 5-8; Sophomore; Guard; Washburn, ND

Ronderos set single game school records for points (42) and free throws made (16) in the Marauders 102-91 victory over South Dakota Tech, which secured the regular season DAC title and a return trip to the national tournament.  Ronderos scored 42 points on 11 of 20 shooting from the field, including 4 of 7 from the 3-point arc and hit 16 of 20 from the free throw line.  Along with her 42 points, she had four rebounds, three assists, one steal and one blocked shot.

 

For the Week of February 1-7, 2004:

Women: Jessica Zundel; University of Mary; 5-10; Junior; Forward; Jud, ND

Zundel recorded back-to-back double-doubles as the Marauders split a pair of DAC contests.  In a 62-60 setback to Valley City State, she had 14 points, 13 rebounds, an assist and three steals and added 16 points, 19 rebounds, one assist and four steals in an 80-53 win over Mayville State.  For the week, Zundel was 12 of 21 from the field and hit 5 of her 8 free throw attempts.

 

For the Week of January 25-31, 2004:

Women: Tara Lalim; Mayville State; 6-0; Senior; Center; Maynard, MN

Lalim had 36 points and 14 rebounds as the Comets split a pair of conference contests.   In a 63-62 setback to Si Tanka University at Huron, she had 12 points, seven rebounds and two assists and followed up with 24 points, seven rebounds and four steals in a 62-57 win over Dakota State.  For the week, Lalim was 16 of 24 from the field and hit 4 of 5 from the free throw line.

 

For the Week of January 18-24, 2004:

Women: Jessica Haugen; Mayville State; 5-4; Junior; Guard; Mekinock, ND

Haugen had 35 points, six rebounds, three assists and a pair of steals in helping the Comets sweep a pair of DAC home contests.  In a 59-53 win over Black Hills State, she had 19 points, three rebounds and two steals and added 16 points, three rebounds and three assists in a 75-67 win over number eighteen South Dakota Tech.  In the two games, Haugen was 9 of 16 from the field, including 7 of 12 on 3-point attempts and hit 10 of her 12 free throws.

 

For the Week of January 11-17, 2004:

Women: Jessica Zundel; University of Mary; 5-10; Junior; Forward; Jud, ND

Zundel scored 53 points, grabbed 24 rebounds, handed out eight assists and picked up five steals in leading the third ranked Marauders to a sweep of their weekend trip to western South Dakota.  In an 84-65 win over Black Hills State, she had 19 points, five rebounds, three assists and three steals and followed up with a 34 point, 19 rebound, five assist and two steal performance in an 82-72 victory over number twenty South Dakota Tech.   For the week, Zundel was 21 of 32 from the field and connected on 11 of her 13 free throw tries.

 

For the Week of January 4-10, 2004:

Women: Megan Barnes; South Dakota Tech; 5-10; Junior; Forward; Laramie, WY

Barnes scored a career high 23 points and added one rebound and an assist in the Hardrockers' 76-62 road win against Dakota State.  In her team's lone contest of the week, Barnes hit 7 of 11 from the field, including 5 of 6 from beyond the 3-point arc and was a perfect 4 of 4 from the frow throw stripe.

 

For the Week of December 28, 2003-January 3, 2004:

Women: Jessica Zundel; University of Mary; 5-10; Junior; Forward; Jud, ND

Zundel averaged 17.2 points and 11.5 rebounds per game in helping the second ranked Marauders to a 3-1 record for the week.  At the Dakota Wesleyan Tournament, she had 14 points, 16 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and three steals in an 85-36 win over Dana, NE and recorded 11 points, 19 rebounds, two assists, one block and two steals in a 70-56 setback to top ranked Dakota Wesleyan.  Zundel then had a 26 point, seven rebound, two assist, one steal performance in an 87-58 win over Minot State and added 18 points, four rebounds, four assists and two steals in a 78-70 win over number ten Dickinson State.  In the four contests, Zundel was 30 of 46 from the field and connected on 9 of 12 from the free throw line.

 

For the Week of December 7-13, 2003:

Women: Hali McClelland; Dakota State; 5-11; Senior; Forward; Gaylord, MN

McClelland had 47 points, 11 rebounds, four assists, four steals and three blocked shots in leading the Lady T's to a pair of victories.  She had 25 points, seven rebounds, four assists, one steal and two blocked shots in a 61-60 win over Minot State and then in a 66-65 win over number ten Dickinson State, she added 22 points, four rebounds, three steals and a blocked shot.  In the two contests, McClelland was 20 of 36 from the field, including 2 of 5 on 3-point attempts and was 5 of 6 from the free throw line.

 

For the week of November 30-December 6, 2003:

Women: Sara Berglund; Dickinson State; 5-8; Junior; Guard; Hazen, ND

Berglund opened conference play with 43 points, five assists, five steals, four rebounds and a blocked shot as the tenth ranked Blue Hawks swept a pair of home contests.  In an 82-77 overtime victory over #22 South Dakota Tech, she had 24 points, two assists, four steals and a rebound and followed up with a 19 point, three assist, one steal, three rebound, one blocked shot performance in a 62-56 win over Black Hills State.  In the two wins, Berglund was 14 of 33 from the field, including 8 of 20 on 3-point attempts and hit 7 of her 10 free throws.
