McGough had 14 kills (3.5 kpg) in 25 attempts with no errors for a .560 hitting percentage in the Jimmies 3-1 win over Huron University. She also had 14 digs (3.5 dpg), 1 solo block and 2 assist blocks (0.75 bpg) and 3 service aces (0.75 apg).
Setter of the Week for Oct. 14-20, 2001:
Jackie Schulthess, Jamestown College, 5-7, Sr, Setter, Hometown: Laketown, UT
Schulthess recorded 45 assists (11.25 apg) in a four set triumph over Huron University in the Jimmies lone match of the week. She also had 11 digs (2.75 dpg), 2 assist bocks (0.50 bpg) and 8 service aces (2.00 apg).

Player of the Week for Oct. 7-13, 2001:
Carolina Botero, Dickinson State, 5-9, Jr, Middle Blocker, Hometown: Cali Colombia
Botero had 36 kills (5.14 kpg) and hit .408 in Blue Hawk victories over Black Hills State and #2 ranked National American University, SD. She also had 19 digs (2.71 dpg), 2 solo blocks and 13 assist blocks (2.17 bpg) and five service aces (0.71 apg). Botero's best performance came in a 3-1 win over National American, avenging DSU's lone loss of the season. She made just two errors on 27 kill attempts for a hit percentage of .519. Botero was also named Region III Player of the Week.
Setter of the Week for Oct. 7 -13, 2001:
April Cameron, Dickinson State, 5-7, Jr, Setter, Hometown: Melita, Manitoba, Cananda
Cameron led Dickinson State to a pair of wins, including a 3-1 win over second ranked National American University. For the week, she recorded 84 assists (12.0 apg), 11 digs (1.57 dpg), six service aces (0.86 apg) and two solo blocks and six assist blocks (1.57 bpg) In a 3-0 win over Black Hills State, she had 36 assists (12.0 apg) and in a 3-1 win over National American, she recorded 48 assists (12.0 apg). Cameron was also named Region III Setter of the Week and NAIA National Setter of the Week.

Player of the Week for Sept. 30-Oct. 6, 2001:
Megan Barnes, South Dakota Tech, 5-9, So, Outside Hitter, Hometown: Laramie, WY
Barnes had 62 kills (5.64 kpg), hit .376, recorded 47 digs (4.27 dpg), 10 sevice aces (0.91 apg) and 8 solo blocks (0.73 bpg) as the Hardrockers went 3-0 on the road in conference action. SD Tech defeated Black Hills State in four sets, Valley City State in four and Mayville State in three. Barnes was also named Region III Player of the Week.
Setter of the Week for Sept. 30-Oct. 6, 2001:
Molly Barnes, South Dakota Tech, 5-5, Jr, Setter, Hometown: Laramie, WY
Barnes Had 139 assists (12.6 apg) along with 51 digs (4.64 dpg) and 3 service aces (0.27 apg) in three SD Tech road conference victories. In a four set win over Black Hills State, she recorded 38 assists; 52 assists in a four set triumph over Valley City State and added 49 assists in a three set victory over Mayville State. Barnes was also named Region III Setter of the Week.

Player of the Week for Sept. 23-29, 2001
Jennifer Lopes, Jamestown College, 5-10, Fr, Outside Hitter, Hometown: Brandon, Manitoba
Lopes had 22 kills (3.14 kpg), hit .340 and recorded 1 solo block and 8 assists (1.29 bpg) along with 3 digs (0.43 dpg) in a pair of Jimmie wins. Jamestown defeated Mayville State in four sets in a DAC match and topped Concordia College of Moorhead in three. Lopes was also named the Region III Player of the Week.
Setter of the Week for Sept. 23-29, 2001

Schulthess had 101 assists (14.4 apg) in a DAC win over Mayville State and a non-conference triumph over Concordia College of Moorhead. She also had 9 digs (1.29 dpg), 2 solo blocks (0.29 bpg), 3 service aces (0.43 apg) and 4 kills (0.57 kpg). Schulthess had 59 assists in a four set win over Mayville State and 42 in a 3 set victory over Concordia. Schulthess was also named the Region III Setter of the Week.

Player of the Week for Sept. 16-22, 2001
Megan Barnes, South Dakota Tech, 5-9, So, Outside Hitter, Hometown: Laramie, WY
Barnes recorded 103 kills (5.42 kpg), hit .378 and added 80 digs (4.21 dpg), 6 solo and 11 assist blocks (0.89 bpg) and 16 service aces (0.84 apg) in helping the Hardrockers to a perfect 5-0 week. Tech defeated Black Hills State in conference play and then won four matches at the University of Sioux Falls Tournament. Barnes was also named the RegionIII Player of the Week.
Setter of the Week for Sept. 16-22, 2001

Cameron recorded 80 assists (11.4 apg) in a pair of DSU road victories over the University of Great Falls and Carroll College. She also had 18 digs (2.6 dpg), 2 assist blocks (0.29 bpg), and 3 service aces (0.43 apg). Cameron had 30 assists in a three set win over Great Falls and 50 assists in a four set win over Carroll College. Cameron was also named the Region III Setter of the Week.

Player of the Week for Sept. 9-15, 2001
Suzie Salak, Jamestown College, 5-10, Jr, Middle Blocker, Hometown: Bismarck, ND
Salak hit .413 with 56 kills (3.73 kpg), 21 blocks (1.4 bpg), 18 digs (1.2 dpg) and 11 service aces (0.73 apg) as the Jimmies topped Valley City State in DAC play and went 3-1 at the Cobber Classic in Moorhead, MN. Salak hit .500 in wins over Concordia College, MN and Northland College, IA, and .471 in a loss to top ranked Dickinson State. Salak was also named Region III Player of the Week.
Setter of the Week for Sept. 9-15, 2001

Schulthess recorded 173 assist (11.5 apg), 35 digs (2.33 dpg), 4 blocks (0.27 bpg) and 10 service aces (0.67 apg) as the Jimmies defeated Valley City State in conference action and put together a 3-1 record at the Cobber Classic in Moorhead, MN. Schulthess had 44 assists in a three set win over Concordia College, MN and 42 assists in a three set triumph over Valley City State. Schulthess was also named Region III Setter of the Week.

Player of the Week for Sept. 2-8, 2001
Dana Wiseth, Mayville State, 5-8, Jr, Outside Hitter, Hometown: Goodrich, MN
Wiseth had 94 kills (4.9 kpg) and 51 digs (2.7 dpg) as Mayville State defeated Valley City State in DAC play and then went 3-1 at the Briar Cliff (IA) Tournament. In the five matches, she hit .231, had 2 solo blocks, 4 assist blocks, 5 service aces and had a serve percentage of 98.6. Wiseth was also named the Region III Player of the Week.
Setter of the Week Sept. 2-8, 2001
Becky Hayden, Mayville State, 5-8, Sr, Setter, Hometown: Ada, MN
Hayden had 257 assist (13.5 apg) and a perfect 100 serve percentage (84 attempts, 0 errors) in helping the Comets to a 4-1 record for the week. She also had four service aces, 17 kills and eight assist blocks.
