Player: Nancy Nyongesa; Dickinson State; Sophomore; OH; Nairobi, Kenya
Nyongesa hit .320 with with 36 kills (5.14 kpg), 24 digs (3.43 dpg) and seven blocks (1.00 bpg) in helping the Blue Hawks capture the DAC Post-Season Tournament championship.
Setter: Katie Bassett; Dakota State; Freshman; S; Omaha, NE
For the week, Bassett had 135 assists (10.38 apg), 6 service aces (0.46 apg) with a serve percentage of .908, 7 kills with a killing percentage of .429, and 32 digs (2.46 dpg) to help the Trojans to a runner-up finish in the DAC Postseason Tournament.
Libero: Ashley Brassfield; Dakota State; Senior; L; New Underwood, SD
For the week, Brassfield had 95 digs (7.31 dpg), 5 service aces (0.38 apg) with a serving rate of .924, and had only 2 reception errors out of 122 total receptions attempts (passing rate of .984) to lead the Trojans to a second place finish in the DAC Post-Season Tournament.
For the Week of October 31-November 6, 2005:
Player: Micah Tolzin; Dakota State; Senior; MH; Sioux Falls, SD
Tolzin helped lead the Trojans to a 2 - 0 outing for the week including a win over NCAA Division II University of Mary. In the two matches, she hit .368 with 31 kills (4.43 kpg), 13 blocks (1.86 bpg). 11 digs (1.57 dpg), one service ace (0.14 apg) and along the way, became the career kills leader at Dakota State.
Setter: Megan Floerke; Valley City State; Freshman; S; Inver Grove Heights, MN
Floerke compiled 145 assists (13.18 apg) in leading the Vikings to a 2-1 record for the week. She also had 26 digs (2.36 dpg) four service aces (0.36 apg) and 15 kills (1.36 kpg). Floerke was also named the Region III Setter of the Week.

Brassfield had 61 digs (8.71 dpg) for the week in helping lead the Trojans to a 2-0 record including a win over NCAA Division II University of Mary. Brassfield passed at 94% for the week along with garnering one service ace (0.14 apg).
For the Week of October 24-30, 2005:
Player: Nancy Nyongesa; Dickinson State; Sophomore; OH; Nairobi, Kenya
Nyongesa recorded 63 kills (5.73 kpg) while hitting .331 as the Blue Hawks went 3-0 for the week and captured the DAC regular season championship. She added 47 digs (4.27 dpg), 12 blocks (1.09 bpg) and two service aces (0.18 apg). Nyongesa also picked up her 1000th career kill in DSU's 3-to-1 victory over the University of Mary. Nyongesa was also named the Region III Player of the Week and NAIA Player of the Week.

Stiefel continued her outstanding first season at Dickinson State with 164 assists (14.91 apg), 40 digs (3.64 dpg), 10 blocks (0.91 bpg), seven kills (0.64 kpg) and one service ace (0.09 apg) as the Blue Hawks captured a four game win over the University of Mary and a pair of victories on the road over Black Hills State and South Daktoa Tech in securing the DAC regular season championsip. Steifel was also named the Region III Setter of the Week and NAIA Setter of the Week.

Brassfield broke the school record for digs in a match with a 51 dig performance in a 5 game loss to DAC rival, Jamestown College. In the contest, she averaged 10.2 digs per game along with registering 0.6 aces per game, and passed at 93% for the match.

For the Week of October 17-23, 2005:
Player: Jennie Malone, South Dakota Tech; So; MH; Rapid City, SD
Malone hit a blistering .605 with 26 kills (3.71 kpg), 16 digs (2.29 dpg), one block (0.14 bpg) and one assist (0.14) as the Lady Hardrockers were beaten in their two conference matches for the week.
Setter: KateLynn Stiefel; Dickinson State; Sophomore; S; Dickinson, ND
Steifel recorded 86 assists (9.56 apg), 22 digs (2.44 dpg), four blocks (0.44 bpg), five kills (0.56 kpg) and one service ace (0.11 apg) as the Blue Hawks won a pair of conference matches and lost a four game match too second ranked National American, SD.

Bilokreli had 32 digs (3.57 dpg) one service ace (0.14 apg) as the Vikings dropped a pair of conference road matches.

Nyongesa recorded three consecutive 20 kill, 20 dig matches as the Blue Hawks won a pair of road conference matches along with a four game triumph at NCAA Division II Northern State, SD. For the week, she hit .421 with 74 kills (6.17 kpg), 61 digs (5.08 dpg), 12 blocks (1.0 bpg) and one service ace (0.08 apg). Nyongesa was also named the Region III Player of the Week and NAIA Player of the Week.

Stiefel had three straight matches with 65-plus assists in helping the Blue Hawks to three road wins over Jamestown College, Dakota State and NCAA Division II Northern State, SD. In the three matches, she recorded 200 assists (16.67 apg), 41 digs (3.42 dpg), nine blocks (0.75 bpg), six kills (0.50 kpg) and three service aces (0.25 apg). Steifel was also named the Region III Setter of the Week and NAIA Setter of the Week.

Nyongesa hit .511 with 25 kills (5.0 kpg), 20 digs (4.0 dpg), 4 blocks (0.8 bpg) and three service aces (0.6 apg) as the Blue Hawks defeated the University of Mary 3-2 in their lone match of the week.

Brassfield averaged 6.11 digs/gm, 0.21 service aces/gm and recorded only two errors in 155 receptions in five matches, including a key conference win over Jamestown and a win over regionally ranked Morningside, IA. Brassfield was also named the Region III Libero of the Week.
