Softball – Player: Ashley Smoke; Minot State; Junior; Catcher; Portage la Prairie, MB ~ Smoke batted .385 as she helped the Beavers win the DAC Tournament and earn a spot in the NAIA National Tournament.  In five tournament games, she was 5 for 13 with two home runs, two runs scored and five RBI.

Softball – Pitcher: Mandy Greenberg; Minot State; Sophomore; Pitcher; Winnipeg, MB ~ Greenberg went 3-0 with an 0.33 ERA in helping lead the Beavers to the DAC Tournament championship and a berth to the NAIA National Tournament.  In three outings, she pitched 21 innings, allowed three runs, one earned run on four hits with 31 strikeouts and four walks.

For the Week of April 25-May 01, 2011:

Baseball – Player: Andy Racus; Jamestown College; Senior; First Base; Federal Way, WA ~ Racus batted .515 in a busy ten game week for the Jimmies.  In 33 at bats, he had 17 hits including two doubles and two home runs, scored seven runs, had 11 RBI, walked three times and stole a base.

Baseball – Pitcher: Roberto Gonzalez; Dickinson State; Senior; Pitcher; Brentwood, CA ~ Gonzalez picked up the win in a 21-3 Blue Hawk victory over Jamestown College.  In his lone outing of the week, he went five innings, allowed three runs on 11 hits with five strikeouts and two walks.

Softball – Player: Nicole Youngblood; Dickinson State; Senior; Shortstop; Santa Cruz, CA ~ Youngblood batted .552 with a .966 slugging percentage as the Blue Hawks won eight of nine games and captured the DAC regular season championship.  For the week, she was 16 of 29 with three doubles and three home runs, scored 15 runs, added 16 RBI with five walks and also went 2 for 2 in stolen base attempts.

Softball – Pitcher: Sara Jane Webster; Dickinson State; Senior; Pitcher; Northridge, CA ~ Webster went 6-0 with a no decision and a 1.44 ERA as the Blue Hawks captured the regular season DAC championship.  In seven trips to the mound for the week, she pitched 34 innings, allowed nine runs, seven earned runs on 18 hits with 52 strikeouts and six walks.

For the Week of April 18-24, 2011:

Baseball – Player: Jesse Ramirez; Jamestown College; Senior; Outfield; Santa Fe Springs, CA ~ In two games, he batted .714 with a 2.143 slugging percentage.  For the week, Ramirez was 5 for 7 with a double, three home runs, three walks, five runs scored and nine RBI.

Baseball – Pitcher: Erik Bastio; Dickinson State; Junior; Pitcher; Victorville, CA ~ Bastio pitched a complete game shutout in his only outing for the week.  In the 12-0 win over Dakota State, he pitched seven innings, allowed no runs on three hits with three strikeouts and no walks.

Softball – Player: Jane Pettit; Valley City State; Junior; Catcher; Rushford, MN ~ In her team’s only game of the week, Pettit went 3 for 3 with three extra base hits.  She had two doubles and a home run, scored a run, had four RBI and was 1 for 1 on stolen base attempts.

Softball – Pitcher: Sara Jane Webster; Dickinson State; Senior; Pitcher; Northridge, CA ~ Webster tossed a no-hitter in her lone trip to the mound for the week.  In the 2-0 win over Dakota State, she pitched seven innings, allowed no runs on no hits with 12 strikeouts and two walks.

For the Week of April 11-17, 2011:

Baseball – Player: Russell Graham; Dickinson State; Senior, Outfield; Richmond, CA ~ Graham batted .500 with a 1.250 slugging percentage as the Blue Hawks went 2-1 for the week.  In the three contests, he was 6 for 12 at the plate with three home runs, five RBI, three runs scored and was 1 for 1 on stolen base attempts.

Baseball – Pitcher: Anthony Friesen; Minot State; Sophomore; Pitcher; Somerset, MB ~ Friesen went 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA in two outings for the Beavers.  For the week, he pitched 16 innings, allowed one unearned run on nine hits with 20 strikeouts and one base-on-balls.

Softball – Player: Ikea Mauldin; Dickinson State; Junior; Catcher; Lancaster, CA ~ Mauldin hit .636 with a 1.455 slugging percentage in leading the Blue Hawks to a 4-0 record.  For the week, she was 7 for 11 with three home runs, three runs scored and four RBI.

Softball – Pitcher: Sara Jane Webster; Dickinson State; Senior; Pitcher; Northridge, CA ~ Webster pitched a pair of complete game shutouts for the Blue Hawks.  In her two outings, she pitched 12 innings, allowed no runs on three hits with 11 strikeouts and two walks.

For the Week of April 04-10, 2011:

Baseball – Player: Derek Carley; Dickinson State; Junior; Outfield; Helena, MT ~ Carley batted .429 with a 1.286 slugging percentage in leading the Blue Hawks to a sweep of Valley City State.  In two ballgames, he was 3 for 7 with two home runs, two runs scored, four RBI and a walk.

Baseball – Pitcher: Roberto Gonzales; Dickinson State; Senior; Pitcher; Brentwood, CA ~ Gonzalez picked up a 9-2 over Valley City State in his lone trip to the mound for the week.  In the victory, he pitched six innings, allowed two runs on four hits with seven strikeouts and two walks.

Softball – Player: Amanda Stevenson; Dakota State; Junior; Outfield; Victoria, BC ~ Stevenson had an eight game hitting streak for the week with a .520 batting average and a .920 slugging percentage.  In eight contests, she was 13 of 25 at the plate with a double, three triples and a home run.  She also scored five runs, drove in nine runs, walked twice and was 4 for 5 on stolen base attempts.

Softball – Pitcher: Krystal Hathaway; Valley City State; Senior; Pitcher; Winnipeg, MB ~ Hathaway went 2-1 with a save and a 2.00 ERA for the Vikings.  In four contests, she pitched 21 innings, gave up 11 runs, 6 earned runs on 25 hits with nine strikeouts and six walks.

For the Week of March 28-April 03, 2011:

Baseball – Player: Michael Danielson; Valley City State; Sophomore; Outfielder; New London, MN ~ Danielson batted .571 with a 1.071 slugging percentage in helping the Vikings sweep a four game series with Dakota State.  For the week, he was 8 of 14 with four doubles, a home run, six runs scored, nine RBI, a walk and was 2 for 2 on stolen base attempts.

Baseball – Pitcher: Alex Kreis; Jamestown College; Senior; Pitcher; Grand Forks, ND ~ Kreis pitched a complete game shutout in his lone trip to the mound for the week.  In a 1-0 win over Mayville State, he pitched seven innings, allowed no runs on five hits with seven strikeouts and three walks.

Softball – Player: Aleisha Giesey; Black Hills State; Junior; Shortstop; Fenton, MI ~ Giesey hit .500 with a 1.357 slugging percentage as the Yellow Jackets split a four game series with Jamestown College.  For the week, she was 7 of 14 with three doubles, three home runs, four runs scored, ten RBI and three walks.

Softball – Pitcher: Krystal Hathaway; Valley City State; Senior; Pitcher; Winnipeg, MB ~ Hathaway picked up a pair of wins as the Vikings went 4-0 for the week.  In her two outings, Hathaway pitched 12 innings, allowed one run on six hits with 17 strikeouts and one walk.

Baseball – Pitcher: Seth Doxey; Dakota State; Sophomore; Clarksville, TN ~ Doxey pitched a complete game victory in his lone outing for the week.  He pitched seven innings, giving up one run on three hits with six strikeouts and no walks in a 6-1 win over Mount Marty, SD.

Softball – Pitcher: Emily Snow; Jamestown College; Freshman; Rio Linda, CA ~ Snow pitched a complete game shutout in her lone trip to the mound for the week.  She pitched seven innings with no runs on nine hits with 11 strikeouts and four walks in a 2-0 win over NCAA-II Bemidji State, MN.

For the Week of March 14-20, 2011:

Baseball – Player: Ryne Hornecker; Minot State; Junior; Shortstop; Minot, ND ~ Hornecker batted .625 in helping the Beavers to a 5-2 record for the week.  In seven ball games, he was 15 of 24 with a double, nine RBI, nine runs scored, two walks and was three-for-three on stolen base attempts.

Baseball – Pitcher: Anthony Fagan; Jamestown College; Junior; Pitcher; Carson City, NV ~ Fagan tossed a complete game no-hitter in an 8-0 win at Midland Lutheran, NE.  In his lone outing of the week, he went seven innings, allowing no runs on no hits with eight strikeouts and two walks.

Softball – Player: Deanna Mitchell; Minot State; Junior; Outfield/First Base; Portage, MB ~ Mitchell led the Beavers to a 5-2 record for the week with a .565 batting average and an .826 slugging percentage.  In seven games, she was 13 of 23 with three doubles, a home run, two runs scored, ten RBI and a pair of walks.

Softball – Pitcher: Krystal Hathaway; Valley City State; Senior; Pitcher; Winnipeg, MB ~ Hathaway went 2-0 with a 0.47 ERA for the Vikings.  Her week was highlighted by a complete game, one hit shutout in a nine inning 1-0 win over Missouri Baptist.  For the week, Hathaway gave up two runs on nine hits in 15 innings with ten strikeouts and three walks.

For the Week of April 26-May 02, 2010:

Baseball – Player: Josh Tiede; Dakota State; Junior; Second Base; Newport, WA

Tiede batted .429 with a 1.357 slugging percentage in helping the Trojans gain a split of back-to-back doubleheaders against conference leader Dickinson State.  In 14 at bats, he had eight hits, one double, four home runs and two walks with four runs scored, eight RBI and a stolen base.

Baseball – Pitcher: Ryan Iliff; Jamestown College; Junior; Pitcher; Gillette, WY

Iliff tossed a complete game shutout in his only outing of the week as the Jimmies went 4-0.  He pitched five innings in his lone performance of the week, gave up no runs on two hits with five strikeouts and no walks.

 

Softball – Player: Amanda Carter; Valley City State; Senior; Catcher; Teulon, MB

Carter hit .533 with a 1.200 slugging percentage in helping the Vikings to a 4-0 mark for the week.  In four games, she was 8 of 15 with a double, three home runs, eight runs scored, ten RBI, three walks and a pair of stolen bases in two attempts.  With ten RBI for the week, Carter broke the single season RBI record at VCSU which previously stood at 43.

Softball – Pitcher: Sara Jane Webster; Dickinson State; Junior; Pitcher; Northridge, CA

Webster tossed three complete game shutouts in leading the Blue Hawks to a 6-0 record for the week, capturing their fifth straight conference title and the top seed in the upcoming conference tournament.  In three outings, she pitched 20 innings, allowed no runs on eight hits with 36 strikeouts and three walks.  Webster also contributed at the plate, going 10 for 22 with nine RBI.

 

For the Week of April 19-25, 2010:

Baseball – Player: Willie Sandez; Dickinson State; Junior; Designated Hitter; El Monte, CA

Sandez hit .611 with a slugging percentage of 1.778 in helping the Blue Hawks to a 4-2 week.  In six contests, he was 11 of 18 with three doubles, six home runs, nine runs scored, eight RBI and five base-on-balls.  In a 10-9 win over Mayville State on Friday, Sandez went 5 for 5 with a school record four home runs, a double, four RBI and five runs scored.

Baseball – Pitcher: Jared Donahue; Dakota State; Sophomore; Pitcher; Winner, SD

Donahue pitched a complete game shutout in a 2-0 win over Jamestown College as the Trojans went 2-2 for the week.  In his lone outing of the week, he gave up no runs on six hits in seven innings with seven strikeouts and three walks.

 

Softball – Player: Jody Lantz; Dickinson State; Senior; Third Base; St. Wallburg, SK

Lantz recorded a .636 batting average and a 1.727 slugging percentage in the leading the Blue Hawks to a 4-0 mark for the week.  In four games, she was 7 of 11 at the plate with four home runs, six runs scored, ten RBI and a pair of walks.

Softball – Pitcher: Mandy Greenberg; Minot State; Freshman; Pitcher; Winnipeg, MB

Greenberg went 3-1 with a 2.03 ERA in helping the Beavers to a 5-3 record for the week.  In four outings, she pitched 20.2 innings, allowed six earned runs on 11 hits with 35 strikeouts and four walks.  In a 5-4 setback to Great Falls, MT, Greenberg struck out 18 batters.

 

For the Week of April 12-18, 2010:

Baseball – Player: Erik Church; Jamestown College; Senior; Centerfield; Federal Way, WA

Church batted .560 with a 1.120 slugging percentage as the Jimmies went 5-1 for the week.  In six games, he was 14 of 25 at the plate with two doubles, four home runs, four walks, 12 runs scored, 15 RBI and was 5 for 5 on stolen base attempts.

Baseball – Pitcher: Roberto Rodgriguez; Valley City State; Senior; Pitcher; Chandler, AZ

Rodriguez pitched a complete game four hitter, helping the Vikings to their first conference victory, a 3-0 triumph over Dickinson State. He struck out five and walked three in the seven inning complete game.

Softball – Player: Janessa Penner; Minot State; Senior; Shortstop; Morden, MB

Penner led the Beavers to a 6-0 record for the week as she went 9 for 17 including two doubles, ten runs scored and five walks. She also stole 4 bases in 4 attempts and is a perfect 10 for 10 this year in that department.

Softball – Pitcher: Sara Jane Webster; Dickinson State; Junior; Pitcher; Northridge, CA

Webster went 4-0 with a 0.27 ERA in four outings for the week as the Blue Hawks went 6-0. In 26 innings, she gave up one run on 13 hits, with five walks and 33 strikeouts.  She threw back-to-back shut outs against Black Hills State on Friday, including a no hitter in game two. She also contributed at the plate, going 7 for 17 with 3 RBI’s, a home run, a double, and a triple.

For the Week of April 05-11, 2010:

Baseball – Player: Kevin Park; Dickinson State; Junior; Third Base; Los Angeles, CA

Park had three homers and 16 RBI as DSU went 4-2 on the week. He was 8 for 20 on the week with nine runs scored and one stolen base. Park leads the DAC with 50 RBI in 30 games.

Baseball – Pitcher: Roberto Gonzalez; Dickinson State; Junior; Pitcher; Brentwood, CA

Gonzalez pitched a complete game, nine-inning performance in a 7-2 win over Jamestown College in his lone outing of the week.  In the Blue Hawk victory, he gave up two runs on six hits with five strikeouts and five walks.

Softball – Player: Heather Haegele; Jamestown College; Sophomore; Centerfield; Kalispell, MT

Haegele batted .619 with a .905 slugging percentage in helping the Jimmies to a 4-2 week.  In six contests, she was 13 of 21 with four doubles, a triple, eight runs scored, eight RBI and was a perfect 3 for 3 on stolen base attempts.

Softball – Pitcher: Mandy Greenberg; Minot State; Freshman; Pitcher; Winnipeg, MB

Greenberg went 5-0 with one no decision and an ERA of 0.29 in leading the Beavers to a 6-0 record for the week.  In six outings, she allowed one run on eight hits in 24 innings pitched with 32 strikeouts and eight walks.  Greenberg leads the DAC in strikeouts with 145 and lowered her earned run average on the season to 1.80.

For the Week of March 29-April 04, 2010:

Baseball – Player: Chance Hargrove; Dakota State; Junior; Outfield; Newport, WA

Hargrove batted .471 with a 1.118 slugging percentage in the Trojans 5-0 week.  Playing in four of his team’s five games, he was 8 of 17 with two doubles, three home runs, nine runs scored and nine RBI.

Baseball – Pitcher: Nick Mutz; Dakota State; Sophomore; Pitcher; Rohnert Park, CA

Mutz went 2-0 with a save and a 2.53 ERA as the Trojans went 5-0 for the week.  In his three appearances, Mutz pitched 10.2 innings, allowed four runs, three earned runs on nine base hits with 13 strikeouts and five walks.

Softball – Player: Adrianna Boychuk; Valley City State; Freshman; Outfield; Portage La Prairie, MB

Boychuk batted .600 as the Vikings had back-to-back doubleheader splits to open up DAC play.  For the week, she was 9 of 15 at the plate with three doubles, five runs, three RBI and a walk.

For the Week of March 22-28, 2010:

Baseball – Player: Jesse Ramirez; Jamestown College; Junior; Right Fielder; Santa Fe Springs, CA

Ramirez batted .563 with a 1.250 slugging percentage in helping the Jimmies to a 5-0 week.  In five contests, he was 9 of 16 at the plate with two doubles, three home runs; nine RBI, ten runs scored; a walk and was three-for-three on stolen base attempts.

Baseball – Pitcher: Jared Donahue; Dakota State; Sophomore; Pitcher; Winner, SD

Donahue pitched the Trojans to a 3-1 victory over Dickinson State in his lone outing of the week.  He threw six innings, allowed one earned run on three hits with 11 strikeouts and two walks.

Softball – Player: Amanda Carter; Valley City State; Senior; Catcher; Teulon, MB

Carter batted .667 as the Vikings went 2-2 at the Morningside Invitational.  For the week, she was 10 of 15 at the plate with two doubles, five RBI, two runs scored and went three-for-three on stolen base attempts.

Softball – Pitcher: Mandy Greenberg; Minot State; Freshman; Pitcher; Winnipeg, MB

Greenberg went 3-0 with an 0.98 ERA for the Beavers.  In three outings, she pitched 14.1 innings, allowed two earned runs on four hits with 29 strikeouts and six walks.  In 58.1 innings pitched this season, Greenberg has 92 strikeouts.

For the Week of March 15-21, 2010:

Baseball – Player: Ryne Hornecker; Minot State; Sophomore; Shortstop; Minot, ND

Hornecker batted .500 and a .594 on-base percentage as the Beavers went 4-4 for the week.  In eight games, he was 13 of 26 with six walks, three doubles, eight runs scored, six RBI and was six-for-six in stolen base attempts.

Baseball – Pitcher: Chase Doremus; Dickinson State; Junior; Pitcher; Palmdale, CA

In his lone outing of the week, Doremus threw seven innings, gave up one earned run on three hits with five strikeouts and one walk in earning a 2-1 victory over Southwest, NM

Softball – Player: Cyndi Figol; Valley City State; Sophomore; 2nd Base; Brandon, MB

Figol batted .526 with five runs scored, two doubles and 11 RBI to help lead the Vikings to a 6-0 week.  She collected multi-hit games in four of the six contests.
Softball – Pitcher: Paige Smith; Valley City State; Freshman; Pitcher; Gretna, MB

Smith pitched back-to-back shutouts in helping the Vikings to a 6-0 week.  In her two outings, she pitched 12 innings and allowed no runs on seven hits with 16 strikeouts and two walks.

For the week of March 08-14, 2010:

Baseball – Player: Kerry Boon; Minot State; Senior; Right Fielder; Deer Lodge, MT

Boon batted .476 with a 1.000 slugging percentage in helping the Beavers to a 4-2 record for the week.  Boon was 10 for 21 with four doubles, two triples and a home run with 13 runs batted in and six runs scored.

Baseball – Pitcher: Alex Kreis; Jamestown College; Junior; Pitcher; Grand Forks, ND

In his lone outing of the week, Kreis pitched six innings, allowed no runs on three hits with eight strikeouts and two base-on-balls in picking up the victory.

Softball – Player: Elizabeth Best-Still; Mayville State; Sophomore; Catcher; Sacramento, CA

Best-Still batted .522 with a 1.043 slugging percentage as the Comets compiled a 2-4 record for the week.  In six contests, she was 12 of 23 with three doubles, three home runs, ten runs scored, nine runs batted in and a walk.

Softball – Pitcher: Kate Street; Jamestown College; Junior; Pitcher; Stevensville, MT

Street went 6-1 with a 1.60 ERA in seven appearances for the Jimmies.  For the week, she pitched 30.2 innings; gave up 15 runs, seven earned runs on 22 hits with 19 strikeouts and 13 walks.


For the week of April 27-May 03, 2009:

Baseball – Player: Kyle Montgomery; Jamestown College; Junior; Shortstop; Seattle, WA ~ Montgomery hit .421 in leading the Jimmies to the DAC Tournament championship.  In five games, he was eight of 19 at the plate with a double, three home runs, six runs scored and ten RBI.

Baseball – Pitcher: Jared Donahue; Dakota State; Freshman; Pitcher; Winner, SD ~ Donahue picked up a save and a complete game shutout win in the DAC baseball tournament.  In two outings, he pitched 7.1 innings, allowed now runs on four hits with eight strikeouts and six walks.

 

Softball – Player: Karissa Norte; Black Hills State; Junior; Pitcher; Aurora, CO ~ Norte batted .538 as the Yellow Jackets went 2-2 for the week.  In four games, she was seven of 13 with two doubles, a homer, three runs scored and five RBI.

Softball – Pitcher: Sara Jane Webster; Dickinson State; Junior; Pitcher; Los Angeles, CA ~ Webster picked up three wins to lead the Blue Hawks to the DAC tournament championship.  In three tournament games, she allowed ten runs, nine earned runs on 16 hits with 40 strikeouts and six base-on-balls.  Webster broke her school record for strikeouts in a game with 19 in the Blue Hawks’ opening game of the tournament.

 

For the Week of April 20-26, 2009:

Baseball – Player: Mike Ronnie; Minot State; Senior; Left Fielder; Red Deer, AB ~ Ronnie batted .560 in leading the Beavers to a 4-2 record for the week.  In the six contests, he was 14 of 25 at the plate with a double, two home runs, ten runs scored and ten RBI.  He also walked twice and was seven for seven on stolen base attempts.

Baseball – Pitcher: Ryan Bodell; Minot State; Senior; Pitcher; Minot, ND ~ Bodell pitched a complete game three hit shutout in a 5-0 win over Dakota State in his lone outing of the week.  In the ballgame, he struck out nine and walked four.

 

Softball – Player: Kimberly Smith; Jamestown College; Junior; Outfielder; New Caney, TX ~ Smith hit .500 as the Jimmies went 4-2.  For the week, she was 10 of 20 with two triples, seven runs scored, six RBI, a walk and was two for two on stolen base attempts.

Softball – Pitcher: Kayla Mitchell; Minot State; Senior; Pitcher; Portage, MB ~ Mitchell went 2-1 with a save and an ERA of 1.42 in leading the Beavers to a 4-2 week.  In four appearances, she gave up eight runs, five earned runs on 19 base hits with 12 strikeouts and nine walks.

 

For the Week of April 13-19, 2009:

Baseball – Player: Cody Holland; Dickinson State; Senior; Left Fielder; Moorpark, CA ~ Holland batted .625 with a 2.125 slugging percentage in helping the Blue Hawks to a sweep of Minot State in non-conference play.  In the two contests, he was five of eight with four home runs, five runs scored and six RBI.  Holland upped his team leading batting average to .417.

Baseball – Pitcher: Jared Donahue; Dakota State; Freshman; Pitcher; Winner, SD ~ Donahue picked up a win in his lone outing of the week, a 7-2 triumph over Jamestown College.  In seven innings of work, Donahue allowed two runs, one earned run on seven hits with ten strikeouts and one walk.

Softball – Player: Danielle Crawford; Dickinson State; Junior; Shortstop; Pismo Beach, CA ~ Crawford hit .500 with a 1.250 slugging percentage in leading the number four Blue Hawks to a 4-0 week.  For the week, she was six of 12 with three home runs, five runs scored, ten RBI and one walk.

Softball – Pitcher: Sara Jane Webster; Dickinson State; Sophomore; Pitcher; Los Angeles, CA ~ Webster won three games in three appearances and tossed her fourth no hitter of the season as the fourth ranked Blue Hawks improved to 29-3 on the season.  In three games, Webster pitched 17 innings, allowed no runs on one base hit with 34 strikeouts and one base-on-balls.  She set a school record for strikeouts in a game with 17.  With the 3-0 week, Webster improved to 17-2 with two saves, an ERA of 0.89 and leads the NAIA in strikeouts per nine innings at 17.07.  Webster was also named NAIA Pitcher of the Week.

For the Week of April 06-12, 2009:

Baseball – Player: Zane Roduner; Dakota State; Junior; First Baseman; Rapid City, SD ~ Roduner hit .520 with a 1.000 slugging percentage as the Trojans went 3-3.  In six games, he was 13 of 25 with three doubles, three home runs, 12 RBI, nine runs scored and walked once.

Baseball – Pitcher: Jamil Acosta; Dickinson State; Junior; Pitcher; Downey, CA ~ Acosta went 2-0 with a 1.26 ERA as the Blue Hawks won seven of eight games for the week.  In the two wins, he pitched 14.1 innings, allowed three runs, two earned runs on 13 hits with 15 strikeouts and only two walks.  Acosta is now 5-1 on the season, including a 3-0 mark in the DAC and leads the conference and is 18th in the NAIA in earned run average at 2.03.

 

Softball – Player: Sarah Heinemann; Jamestown College; Sophomore; Outfielder; North Battleford, SK ~ Heinemann batted .542 with a 1.208 slugging percentage in leading the Jimmies to a 5-3 record.  For the week, she was 13 of 24 with four doubles, four home runs, 18 RBI, 14 runs scored and six base-on-balls.

Softball – Pitcher: Sara Jane Webster; Dickinson State; Sophomore; Pitcher; Los Angeles, CA ~ Webster went 5-0 with two saves and tossed her third no-hitter of the season for the fifth ranked Blue Hawks.  For the week, she pitched 30.2 innings, allowed one earned run on 15 hits with 62 strikeouts and just only nine walks.  Webster is 14-2 on the season and currently ranks second in the NAIA in strikeouts per nine innings at 16.9.

Baseball – Player: Tony Isbell; Dickinson State; Senior; Right Fielder; Florence, MT ~ Isbell batted .500 with a 1.143 slugging percentage in leading the Blue Hawks to a 3-1 record for the week.  In the four ballgames, he was 7 of 14 at the plate with three doubles, two home runs, three runs scored, seven RBI and a pair of walks.

Baseball – Pitcher: Jamil Acosta; Dickinson State; Junior; Pitcher; Downey, CA ~ Acosta pitched a complete game shutout in his lone outing of the week, a 1-0 victory over Mayville State.  In the contest he gave up three hits with seven strikeouts and two walks to improve his record on the season to 3-1.

 

Softball – Player: Nicole Marcoux; Dickinson State; Junior; Second Base; Winnipeg, MB ~ Marcoux batted .500 with a slugging percentage of 1.000 as the Blue Hawks began conference play with a 4-0 mark.  For the week, she was 8 of 16 with a triple, two home runs, five runs scored and ten RBI.

Softball – Pitcher: Sara Jane Webster; Dickinson State; Sophomore; Pitcher; Los Angeles, CA ~ Webster went 3-0 with a no hitter in helping the Blue Hawks to a 4-0 start in conference play.  In the three outings, she pitched 17.1 innings, allowed five runs, three earned runs on ten base hits with 29 strikeouts and seven walks to improve her season record to 9-2.  Webster currently ranks fourth in the NAIA in strikeouts per nine innings at 16.26.

For the Week of March 16-22, 2009:

Baseball – Player: Chance Holland; Dickinson State; Junior; Shortstop; Las Vegas, NV ~ Holland batted .480 and had five multi-hit games as the Blue Hawks went 4-2 for the Week.  He was 12 of 25 at the plate with three doubles, nine RBI, eight runs scored, a walk and was two for three in stolen base attempts.

Baseball – Pitcher: Jamil Acosta; Dickinson State; Junior; Pitcher; Downey, CA ~ Acosta picked up a victory in his lone outing of the week, a 10-2 complete game versus Mayville State in non-conference play.  In the ballgame, he allowed two earned runs on five hits with six strikeouts and two walks.

 

Softball – Player: Paige Smith; Valley City State; Freshman; Center Fielder; Gretna, MB ~ Smith batted .346 with seven runs scored, six RBI and was four-for-four on stolen base attempts as the Vikings went 4-3 for the week.  She was 9 of 26 at the plate with a double, triple and a home run and also had one walk.

Softball – Pitcher: Sara Jane Webster; Dickinson State; Sophomore; Pitcher; Los Angeles, CA ~ Webster pitched a perfect game and had three shutouts in five appearances in leading the Blue Hawks to a 6-2 record for the week.  For the week, she was 3-1 with a 1.47 earned run average on 20 hits in 28.2 innings pitched.  Webster also recorded 46 strikeouts with nine walks.


For the Week of April 28-May 04, 2008:

Baseball Pitcher: Luis Avila; Dickinson State; Senior; San Bernardino, CA

Avila helped the Blue Hawks to the DAC tournament championship by picking up a pair of wins, including the championship game victory on two days rest.  In two games, he pitched 14 innings, allowed eight earned runs on 16 hits with nine strikeouts and six walks.

Baseball Player: Tony Isbell; Dickinson State; Junior; Designated Hitter/Pitcher; Florence, MT

Isbell batted .526 with a 1.105 slugging percentage in leading the Blue Hawks to the DAC tournament championship.  In the tournament, he was 10 of 19 with two doubles, three home runs, five runs scored and 12 RBI.  Isbell hit a walk-off home run in a dramatic come from behind victory over Valley City State in the championship bracket of the tournament.

 

Softball Pitcher: Sara Jane Webster; Dickinson State; Freshman; Los Angeles, CA

Webster continued her outstanding freshman season with a pair of wins in helping the Blue Hawks to the DAC tournament championship.  In two contests, she pitched 14 innings, allowed four runs, two earned runs on seven hits with 18 strikeouts and two walks.

Softball Player: Krystal Hathaway; Valley City State; Sophomore; Pitcher; Winnipeg, MB, Canada

Hathaway batted .609 with a 1.043 slugging percentage in helping the Vikings to a 5-3 record.  For the week, she was 14 of 23 with one double and three home runs, along with nine RBI, seven runs scored and one base-on-balls.

For the Week of April 21-27, 2008:

Baseball Pitcher: Dan Rhoades; Dakota State; Freshman; Madison, SD

In his lone appearance of the week, Rhoades pitched a nine inning complete game in a 6-3 Trojans’ win over Valley City State.  In the contest, he gave up three earned runs on seven hits with ten strikeouts and three walks.  Rhoades was also named NAIA Region III Pitcher of the Week.

Baseball Player: Cam McLachlan; Jamestown College; Junior; First Base; Naniamo, MB, Canada

McLachlan batted .500 with an .833 slugging percentage as the Jimmies went 2-2 for the week.  He was 6 of 12 with a pair of walks, one double, one home run, five runs scored and seven RBI.  He also was 2 for 2 on stolen base attempts.

 

Softball Pitcher: Dakota Novotny; Dakota State; Sophomore; Dakota State

Novotny pitched back-to-back five inning, complete game shutouts.  In the two games, she pitched ten innings, allowed no runs on three hits with ten strikeouts and three walks.

Softball Player: Chelsa Carley; Mayville State; Senior; Catcher; Calgary. AB, Canada

Carley batted .636 with a .714 on-base percentage and a 1.545 slugging percentage as the Comets split a pair of conference double-headers. In four games, she was 7 of 11 with three walks, five doubles, a triple, a home run, nine runs scored, five RBI and a stolen base.

 

For the Week of April 14-20, 2008:

Baseball Pitcher: Bryan Visser; Dickinson State; Junior; Sedro Woolley, WA

Visser helped the Blue Hawks to a 3-1 week with a complete game, shutout over Valley City State, the first shutout for the season for the DSU pitching staff.  In his lone appearance of the week, he gave up no runs on three hits in seven innings with four strikeouts and no walks and did not allow a runner past second base in improving his season record to 3-0.

Baseball Player: Jeremy Burgard; Jamestown College; Senior; Left Field; Dickinson, ND

Burgard hit a lofty .517 with a 1.138 slugging percentage in eight games.  For the week, he was 15 of 29 with two doubles, two triples and four home runs with 16 RBI, nine runs scored, one stolen base and a walk.

Softball Pitcher: Kayla Mitchell; Minot State; Junior; Portage la Prairie, MB, Canada

Mitchell picked up a pair of victories in leading the Beavers to a 5-1 record for the week.  She pitched two complete games, allowing three earned runs on just four base hits with 11 strikeouts and only two base-on-balls.

Softball Player: Janessa Penner; Minot State; Sophomore; Shortstop; Morden, MB, Canada

Penner hit a blistering .591 with an impressive 1.364 slugging percentage in helping the Beavers win five of six contests.  For the week, she was 13 of 22 with a double, five triples, two home runs, four RBI, six runs scored, a walk and a stolen base.

For the Week of April 07-13, 2008:

Baseball Pitcher: Greg Hockin; Jamestown College; Senior; Neepawa, MB, Canada

Hocking pitched a complete game in a 6-2 win over Dakota State, his lone performance of the week.  In the contest, he went seven innings, allowed two earned runs on seven hits with four strikeouts and three walks.

Baseball Player: Miles Johnson; Jamestown College; Junior; Catcher; Oak Point, MB, Canada

Johnson batted .500 with a 1.100 slugging percentage in helping the Jimmies to a 5-0 record for the week.  Johnson was 5 of 10 at the plate with two home runs, two runs scored; six RBI, a pair of walks and two stolen bases.  Johnson was also named NAIA Region III Player of the Week.

Softball Pitcher: Sara Jane Webster; Dickinson State; Freshman; Los Angeles, CA

Webster went 3-0 with an 0.37 ERA in helping the Blue Hawks to a 6-0 week.  In her three outings, Webster pitched 19 innings, allowed one earned run on eight hits with 36 strikeouts and no walks.  Webster was also named NAIA Region III Player of the Week and National Pitcher of the Week.

Softball Player: Janessa Penner; Minot State; Sophomore; Shortstop; Morden, MB, Canada

Penner batted .762 with an .800 on-base percentage and a 1.333 slugging percentage in leading the Beavers to a 5-1 record for the week.  In the six games, she was 16 of 21 with four doubles, a triple, two home runs, 11 runs scored and ten RBI.  Penner also coaxed four walks and stole eight bases in eight attempts.  Penner was also named NAIA Region III Player of the Week.

For the Week of March 31-April 06, 2008:

Baseball Player: Ben Cairns; Jamestown College; Junior; 3rd Base; Nanaimmo, BC, Canada

Cairns went 3 for 4 with a double, a home run, two runs and an RBI as the Jimmies split a pair of non-conference games.

Softball Pitcher: Sara Jane Webster; Dickinson State; Freshman; Los Angeles, CA

Wester struck out a school record 15 batters in her lone outing of the week, a 3-1 win over Black Hills State.  In the contest, she pitched a complete game, three hitter, allowed one run with 15 strikeouts and no walks. Webster was also named NAIA Region III Pitcher of the Week.

Softball Player: Janessa Penner; Minot State; Sophomore; Shortstop; Morden, MB, Canada

Penner batted .727 with a 1.818 slugging percentage as the Beavers win two of three games.  For the week, she was 8 of 11 with four home runs, 10 runs, nine RBI, one walk and 3 for 3 on stolen bases. Penner was also named NAIA Region III Player of the Week and National Player of the Week.

For the Week of March 24-30, 2008:

Baseball Pitcher: David Morgan; Dakota State; Senior; Kelso, WA

Morgan picked up a pair of saves and a win out of the Trojans’ bullpen in helping his team to a 3-0 mark for the week, including a 2-0 start in conference play.  For the week, he pitched 4.2 innings, giving up no runs on no hits with nine strikeouts and one walk.  Morgan was also named the NAIA Region III Pitcher of the Week.

Baseball Player: Dan Boudreau; Dickinson State; Senior; Shortstop; Port Coquitlam, BC, Canada

Boudreau batted .455 with a 1.091 slugging percentage as the Blue Hawks went 4-2 for the week.  For the week, he was 10 for 22 with two doubles, four home runs, nine runs scored and nine RBI with three walks and a stolen base.  Boudreau was also named the NAIA Region III Player of the Week.

Softball Pitcher: Krystal Hathaway; Valley City State; Sophomore; Winnipeg, MB, Canada

Hathaway had a win and a no decision with an 0.95 ERA as the Vikings went 1-2 for the week.  She pitched 7.1 innings, giving up four runs, one earned run on 10 hits with 11 strikeouts and no walks.

Softball Player: Kelli Graham; Black Hills State; Junior; Second Base; Sturgis, SD

Graham hit .455 with a 1.000 slugging percentage in helping the Yellow Jackets to a 3-0 mark in conference play.  In the three contests, she was 5 for 11 with two home runs, six runs scored and seven RBI with two walks and a pair of stolen bases.

For the Week of March 17-23, 2008:

Baseball Pitcher: Graham Campbell; Jamestown College; Senior; Victoria, BC, Canada

Campbell pitched four hitless innings in picking up a 9-3 non-conference win over Valley City State.  In the ball game, he struck out six and walked two in the four shutout innings of work.

Baseball Player: Danny White; Jamestown College; Senior; Centerfield; Jamestown, ND

White hit .800 with a 1.400slugging percentage as the Jimmies swept a pair of non-conference games.  In the two contests, he was 4 for 5 with one home run, three runs scored, five RBI and two walks.

Softball Pitcher: Sara Jane Webster; Dickinson State; Freshman; Los Angeles, CA

Webster threw a five inning no-hitter in an 8-0 non-conference win versus Black Hills State.  In the contest, she struck out 11 and walked one.  She also went 3 for 4 at the plate with a double, a home run, two runs scored and six RBI in a double-header sweep of the Yellow Jackets.

Softball Player: Kim Flaman; Black Hills State; Senior; Shortstop; Regina, SK, Canada

Flaman hit .421 with a .500 on-base percentage in six games for the Yellow Jackets.  For the week, she was 8 of 19 with a double, four runs, three RBI and three walks.

For the Week of March 10-16, 2008:

Baseball Player: David Sauter; Jamestown College; Senior; 2B; Seattle, WA

Sauter hit .451 with a .591 slugging percentage with two game-winning two out hits in the bottom of the seventh inning in helping the Jimmies to a 4-3 record.  For the week, he was 10 for 22 with a double, a triple, three runs, 6 RBI, three walks and was 3 for 3 on stolen base attempt. Sauter was also named the NAIA Region III Player of the Week.

Softball Pitcher: Sara Jane Webster; Dickinson State; Freshman; Los Angeles, CA

Webster pitched a complete game in a 1-0 shutout against Robert Morris, IL.  In her lone appearance of the week, she gave up four hits, struck out 12 and walked three.  Webster was also named the NAIA Region III Pitcher of the Week.
